Back in mid February some of our local members were able to attend a fantastic fundraising event with added activism! One of the activists working to save Grantham Hospital and get a full time A&E reinstated, Sarah Stock had her head shaved to raise money for the Lincolnshire Air Ambulance while also signifying the shaving of NHS services locally, and nationwide.
Sarah, who has received NHS treatment for breast cancer, and is an activist for SOS Grantham Hospital had her head shaved on a freezing cold day, outside the hospital, with campaigners from as far afield as Chorley in attendance.
Sarah plans to have a little toy sheep called Bevan stuffed with her hair as a retort to being called ‘bleating activists’ hence the sheep called the Bevan's. All credit to Sarah for her passion and inspirational energy, enthusiasm and unending optimism.
