UPDATE: Since March 22nd 2018 Linda is also a Labour Councillor for Castle Ward on the Sleaford Town Council.

Linda is currently our CLP Treasurer. She arrived in the Sleaford area age 9 with her RAF family and lived in Cranwell where her father worked as an NCO. At the time her mother was a school-dinner lady at Cranwell County Primary School which is where Linda went to school with her older sister Janet. When Linda was 11 she moved to Kesteven and Sleaford High School for Girls in the centre of Sleaford. Her father died while she was a pupil at the school so the family moved to Sleaford and lived in St Denys Avenue. Linda’s mum became a nurse at Rauceby Hospital. During her school holidays Linda worked on the land, at Padleys chicken factory and on the wards at Rauceby Hospital. She was also a Saturday girl at Woolworth’s.
