The met. office makes the 1st September as the start of autumn, soon all schools will be back. Summer is over and political activity ramps up.
Locally, I am making progress with the 100 Club, a regular lottery for fund raising. Depending on money laundering checks by the Co-op bank we could be up and running in the new year, or earlier. We have the Dempster event at Carlton-le-Moorland on the 16th October and leafleting of Mill ward North Hykeham on the 5th this month. See calendar for details
Nationally there is an anti-austerity march on the Tory conference 4th October. The Tories have shown that they really are the nasty, and spiteful, party. It seems there was some truth in Nick Clegg's claim to have restrained the Tories.
